Meet & Greet

We welcome you at the conference with a get together including a welcome drink and snacks.

Utility Management Workshops

There are going to be four utility management workshop sessions with the following themes:

1. Experiences with Cost Management Tools
(focuses of controlling, accounting information systems, metric (utility) and process benchmarking)

2. Experiences in Human Resources Management
(recruitement, training, In-/Outsourcing, incentives, empowerment)

3. Safety Management
(safety of workers and external companies, alarm plans, failure prevention, effluent control)

4. Public relations and co-operation with authorities
(proactive or reactive behaviour, policy making, dealing with problems)

Technical Tour

A technical tour to one of Europe's largest wastewater treatment plants is planned on Tuesday afternoon.
The city government of Vienna has upgraded and expanded the city's wastewater treatment plant by introducing nutrient removal with 2-stage activated sludge technology which in turn has increased the capacity from serving 2.5 million to more than 4 million population equivalents.

Gala Dinner, Vienna City Hall

The City Mayor invites to a festive gala dinner in the prestegious atmosphere of the Vienna City Halls.

Gulaschausklang

To close the conference we conclude with an enjoyable, typical Austria dish in the surrounding of the TU Wien.
